Meet OUR TEAM

Dr Emma Finnegan

Dr Emma Finnegan graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012.She worked in both private practice and specialist hospitals in the UK before moving to Perth in 2016. Since then she has been working in Fremantle and the CBD until she joined the Southlands Dental team as one of our principal dentists.

Emma provides all aspects of general dentistry and has undertaken further training in the surgical placement of dental implants, Invisalign and advanced cosmetic injectables, including dermal fillers, relaxers and PDO threading.

She especially enjoys working with children and anxious patients. As well as having a gentle approach to help patients feel more at ease, Emma also offers treatment under sedation.

As dentistry is constantly evolving, Emma regularly attends training to keep up to date with the latest developments. Outside of work she enjoys pilates, and spending time with her family and cavoodle.

Dr Darryl Watkins

Dr Darryl Watkins graduated from the University of W.A. in December 1981. Following graduation, Darryl was asked to work back at Perth Dental Hospital before working on the country mobile service for 2 1/2 years. He then moved to London where he practiced for another 2 years. On return to Perth in 1984, Darryl entered private practice in Willetton and continues to practice there.

He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and maintains active professional development, enabling the latest techniques and treatment to be offered to his patients.

Dr Mark Leahy

After graduating Dentistry in 1990 from UWA, Mark went straight into private practice in Victoria Park and Mandurah as well as continuing on at UWA as a demonstrator to the dental students. In 1992, he joined the Southlands practice and has been a practising partner since.

He is a member of Australian Dental Association and actively attends continuing education courses and study clubs to keep up to date.
